Queen of Nigerian gospel music,
Princess Ann Inyang went down memory last Sunday, revealing how she
encountered Jesus Christ while she was performing at a night club, in
Lagos.
The " Akanagkwe" singer said
she started performing at night clubs at the age of 10. Then she used
to perform at late Bobby Benson's night club on Ikorodu Road, Lagos.
According to her, the legendary
musician was the one that discovered her talent in music.
Narrating how she encountered Jesus
Christ, Anne Inyang, who released her first album in 1996, titled
"All the way with Jesus" said she was performing at one of
the nights at the club, when suddenly the saviour of mankind appeared
to her, and she had to stop the show and embraced Christ. She said
she started singing professionally at the age of 15.
Anne Inyang shared this powerful
testimony, while she was ministering last Sunday, as a guest artiste
at one of the new generation churches at Satellite Town, Word and
Spirit Assembly. The gifted singer was on her way to the United
States, before she decided to visit the church in order to bless the
congregation with her inspirational songs.
Welcoming her to the church, the
presiding pastor, Dr. Chris Eke described Anne as "a powerful
gospel singer", adding that he was overwhelmed by her
ministration.
A United Nation ambassador of peace,
Princess Anne Inyang has nine albums to her credit, which are
available on iTunes, Spotify and several online music stores.
Some of her popular songs were " A
Lord God Cannot Lie", "Awesome God Floodgates", "Yesu
Uni wangu", "Power In the word of God", "Love is
the Greatest Gift", "All the Way with Jesus", "Highly
Favoure" and " Nyafun Nyafun." But "Akanagkwe"
brought her into the limelight.
