The Voice Nigeria: How Sandra Osamor stole the show

The fourth episode of The Voice Nigeria aired last Sunday on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv 151) and Africa Magic Urban, featuring yet another string of brilliant performances and intrigue as the coaches pitched themselves before the contestants - this time with caution as all four teams are already half full.
Sandra Osamor the classic singer stole the night with her rendition of the Nigerian national anthem and got all four chairs turned. The 25-year-old graduate of Covenant University and one-time winner of Miss Ideal Nigeria, boldly climbed the stage and wowed a group of judges who have heard it all – the great, with her thrilling performance. She, Nwando Okoli and Victor Thomson joined #TeamTimi. Another amazing highlight was Shapera Makepeace who sang Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’. She and Glory Amanyi picked #TeamWaje while Kessy Mbonu and Blessing Isaac joined #TeamPatoranking. At the end of the night, #TeamYemiAlade had Olawole Olusi join the ranks. Ten seconds into Sandra‘s rendition of the National Anthem and she had the judges on their feet. Yes, out of respect and patriotism for our dear Nigeria but more in awe of what she offered. There was not much to do from here than to hit the buzzer, all four of them and the rest they say is history.
As the blind auditions progress, #TeamTimi has nine team members while #TeamWaje has seven. #TeamPatornaking’s number increased to eight while #TeamYemiAlade added one person to her team.
