Interesting times are here for ardent
lovers of gospel music as "One Halleluyah Records", a
record label by the Redeemed Christian Church of God,RCCG, is
initiating training for sound engineers across various denomination
in the country.
Speaking at the opening session of the
workshop, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian
Church of God, Worldwide, Pastor Leke Adeboye said, "Sound is
the key aspect of worship in any organization both in church and in
the society. The role of sound and sound engineer are key and vital,
therefore the need to train those in charge of sound cannot be over
emphasis"
Also, speaking at the event, ace
saxophonist, Pastor Kunle Ajayi described sound as “the origin of
music” adding “those handling sound in various places must be
skilful because it could make or mar any aspect of music. The popular
gospel singer who is currently pencilled as an ambassador for Yamaha
saxophone noted that there's a lot to be done in the area of
training with modern technique in sound management.” The workshop
is an initiative of One Halleluyah records, the baby of the General
Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
One Hallelujah Records”, according to
RCCG, is being unveiled as a viable platform to showcase, nurture
and project the abundant talented gospel music ministers within the
body of Christ in general and RCCG in particular.”
