Ramsey Nouah whose death rumour went
viral on the Internet last week, eventually shocked his haters when
he made a graceful appearance at the 13th edition of the
prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards,AMAA, which held last
Saturday night at Eko Hotels, Lagos.
The handsome dude sporting designer's
blazer on white bold tie walked the red carpet with gaiety. But
that's not the story. Rather , the story is the expensive joke he
cracked while presenting an award.
Presenting the award, the star of
'76'movie who was nominated for the Best Actor in a leading role
award, but lost the same to his Tunisian counterpart, Jahwar
Soudani (The Last of Us: Tunisia) jokingly said, 'Lagos State is the
only state in the country that is supporting the creative industry.”
Realizing what the statement would cost him, the actor quickly
muttered, “I hope other states would not kill me for this.”Whether
he meant what he said, or not, the truth is that he has spoken his
mind.
