The Lagos at 50 celebrations continued, weekend with members of the original cast of the broadway
musical, FELA! performing in Lagos. The event saw the elated audience dancing to
the sounds of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s classics like
‘Palava’, ‘Water’, ‘Zombie’, and more.
Following a three-day marathon of sold
out performances of the Fela concert in Lagos, there’s no doubt
that the event was a success.
Nigerian celebrities like Don Jazzy,
Sound Sultan, Keziah Jones, Katung Aduwak, Kate Henshaw, Kunle
Afolayan graced the event. Top Lagos state officials like
Information and Strategy Commissioner, Steve Ayorinde, and
Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Adebimpe Akinsola, also made an
appearance at the event.
