Owner of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi
Ubah has been reportedly arrested and detained by the Department of State
Services (DSS). The reason for his arrest is not yet known.
The business mogul had previously been
implicated in a fraud saga with the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation, NNPC over his role in the Petroleum Subsidy Saga and was
accused of embezzling funds from an illegal sale of crude oil saved
in his facility.
One of his staff working on a project
site in Anambra confirmed the arrest to Daily Post.
He said news of the arrest was quietly
discussed by his superiors Thursday morning.
According to him, “The news is true.
Our bosses wore long faces this morning. They have not said anything
to us yet”.
