Veteran actress, Nnenna
Nwabueze-Okonta popularly known as Merit in that pioneering Nigerian
movie, “Living in Bondage”, will be in the spotlight tomorrow, as
City People Magazine honours her as one of the legends of Nollywood.
Merit will be honoured at this year's
City People Movie Awards, holding tomorrow, at the prestigious
Balmoral Event Centre, Oreguun-Ikeja, Lgos.
According to the publisher of the
magazine, the mother of four is being recognized for her remarkable
contributions towards the growth of the nation's movie industry. The
award night, which has been creatred from the old City People
Entertainment Awards and ran for 7 years now, the publisher said has
been split into two major sectors, including music and movie .
Merit, whose career spanning more than
two decades is looking forward to the glamorous event.
