Though
he has been off the Nigerian music scene for a while, seasoned
singer, Yakub Jubril, better known as YQ, who ruled the music space
with the likes of Durella, Marvellous Benjy, Buzzman, Dagrin, others
during their hay days, has declared that Davido, Wizkid and other top
artistes currently making waves are not enough competition for him
because he knows what he is capable of musically.
Speaking
to e-daily
in a recent chat, the ‘Tear Rubber’ crooner bragged that despite
his absence from the music scene, the likes of Wizkid, Davido,
Olamide, don’t scare him.
“No
I don't see Wizkid, Davido, others as competition because I do my
thing. Even Wizkid is not new on the block, he has been around.
There's no competition when you believe in yourself. The sky is vast
for flying birds”, he boasted.
