the handsome singer is already making waves with his Obianuju video.

thrilled the large crowd that thronged the popular Freedom Park on
the Lagos island for the just concluded The Lagos International Jazz
Festival. He's also warming up again to grace the stage, for another
exciting event tagged, 'Music and fashion show' which is billed to
hold on the 26th of May, at the same Freedom Park.
Selassie is not ready to slow down,
even as he has hinted on his Facebook page that he's dropping a new
song titled, “The Lagos Anthem” soon.
On his Obianuju video, the artiste said
that he dedicated the video to all the women and girls who have in
one way or the other, supported his career.
Obianuju, according to him, “ is one
song that I wrote when I was making my project. I decided to make a
love song for all the women, all the girls that have supported my
career because there is something I tell other artistes; without
women you are nobody. Without girls you are nowhere. They are our
biggest fans. So this is a song specially for all my female fans. I
decided to release it as my first video to showcase my love for
everybody out there, he told The Nation.Directed by MLV, Obijanuju is
a single of the artistes mixtape, Anywhere Belle Face.
Other tracks in the mixtape include
Thunder Fire You (Produced by Ehzy Beatz), So Amazing (featuring
Santa), Off and On, Na So, Pop Star, Palava, 1 Chance, as well as
Ginja.
Selassie says that he aims to attain
the same heights as his mentor, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. “One thing I
like about his music is, first of all, he stood for what he believed
in and he always sang about it. And that is what I want to do. I just
want to release music that comes from the heart,” he said.
