The NITV Summit opened in Paris with a
convergence of international TV business executives at the 5 Star
Hotel Molitor in Bolougne Billancourt outside the city of Paris.
The Director General of the National
Broadcasting Commission, Ishaq Modibbo Kawu delivered a very detailed
and insightful keynote address on" Investment opportunities of
the DSO Project in Nigeria" and gave assurances on Nigerian
government's commitment towards providing the needed support and
enabling environment for investors into the TV eco system in Nigeria
especially for interested French companies seeking to do business
locally in Nigeria .
According to the Director General "the
National Broadcasting Commission will be providing maximum support
assistance for Nigerian content providers who would want to latch
into the ongoing digital switchover project with will require massive
content to sustain and am indeed happy with the achievements of the
Nigerian content producers present at the NITV Summit.

Providing international business platform and training workshop on
post production to participating Nigerian companies on the
possibilities and opportunities in the global TV industry with a
joint venture between a Paris based studio and a Nigerian company on
dubbing and post-production services for the Nigerian TV industry as
some of the many dividends of the summit. Announcements will be done
in due course
● French companies involved in
distribution had the opportunity to meet with some of the most
successful Nigerian producers with the best and right type of content
that will give major boost to their distribution catalogues. Nigerian
producers were able to find potential leads to license their shows.
