Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, aka K1 De
Ultimate, has been endorsed as the United Nations-SDG ambassador by
the Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development at an
International Stakeholders Conference.
In a report by Nigerian Tribune, the
event took place at the Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta, where many
dignitaries, including the Ogun State governor and Senator Ibikunle
Amosun witnessed the colourful occasion.
The singer’s contribution to humanity
through his music was the major reason the organisers gave him the
honour.
Other personalities honoured were the
Ogun State First Lady, Olufunso Amosun; filmmaker, Tunde Kelani and a
host of others.
The Civil Society Coalition is
affiliated with the United Nations and it has over 150 registered
civil society and non-governmental organisations under its fold in
Nigeria.
