Embattled Ibinabo Fiberesima has
confirmed that Emeka Ike and herself have resolved their differences
and are working towards restoring peace in the troubled Actors Guild
of Nigeria,AGN. She also declared that she's still in charge of the
Guild, insisting that she did not recognize any election that brought
Emeka Rollas to power.
Recall that Ibinabo and Emeka Ike
recently rejected the newly formed Government of National Unity,GNU,
an interim government under the umbrella of the Actors Guild of
Nigeria,AGN, which is headed by actor, Emeka Rollas, arguing that “
the AGN matter is still in court.”
Rollas emerged the head of the interim
government after he defeated Emeka Ike at an election that was
organized by the congress in Enugu about two months ago.
In a telephone chat with HVP,
Ibinabo said, she's still in charge of the Guild, pending when her
appeal over the judgment that sacked her as president is heard by the
court. “ We didn't recognize any election. Emeka Ike and I have met
over the matter and we are putting plans in place to withdraw all
outstanding cases in court so as to pave way for peace in the Guild.”
“After withdrawing the cases, we will
call for a fresh election for the Guild. Until my appeal which is
before the court is heard, I am still the president of the Guild,”
Ibinabo declares.
