The In-Laws' starring Toyin Aimakhu, Chris Attoh hits the cinemas

Come Friday, July 14th, 2017, the highly anticipated Nollywood movie, 'The In-Laws' would be officially released in the cinemas.
'The In-Laws' follows the story of Toyin Aimakhu - an old-school lawyer's daughter who is set to marry Chris Attoh, a retired policeman's son. However, their parents’ deep suspicion and disapproval turn the lovebirds into strange bedfellows.
"The In-Laws" stars Toyin Abraham, Chris Attoh, Dele Odule, Ayo Mogaji, Charles Inojie, Ngozi Nwosu among others who play very interesting and fascinating roles.
The movie, produced by Bola Obakale, is directed by ace director, Charles Uwagbai. Uwagbai is also popular for "Black Silhouette," "Okoro the Prince," Breathless," "Brother Jekwu" among others.
Speaking at the movie premiere held last Friday at the Ozone Cinemas, Yaba, Lagos, Uwagbai said “We wanted to do something different from what everyone was doing. We wanted to tell a simple family story. The movie is basically about two young lovers who wanted to get married and the hurdles they faced from both parents. It's a comedy film with lots of lessons. It has a story everyone can connect with. These days we try to tell stories not just for the entertainment value, but stories that will teach some lessons to the children and youths. Given the high level of societal pressure, we need something that would add value, as well as entertain.”
On his part, the movie producer, Bola Obakale said “We want people to be entertained. We understand the society we live in and the inherent challenges in it. We decided to do a movie that will put smiles on the faces of people and I'm glad we were able to achieve that.”
Tobi Balogun, a 35-year-old doctor, and son to Rtd. Police Sergeant, Abu Balogun, is in love, and ready to marry Nancy Okezie, daughter of Donald Okezie, a retired magistrate. However, trouble starts after they secretly get engaged, and introduce each other to their families.
The comic movie will make its nationwide cinema debut on Friday July 14.
