Former NCC boss, Prof Adebambo Adewopo becomes SAN



Media Entertainment / Intellectual Property in Nigeria takes a big leap with Professor Adebambo Adewopo being made Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He was among the 28 legal luminaries who were made Senior Advocates of Nigeria yesterday. The new Chief Registrar of Supreme Court / Secretary of the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, Hadizatu Mustapha, also announced Oluwatoyin Ajoke Bashorun as the only female among the successful candidates.
Professor Adewopo who was once the Director General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission,NCC, a position in which he performed admirably is the Principal Partner of L&A - Legal Consultants (one of the foremost Media Entertainment Law practices in Nigeria) and Professor of Intellectual Property at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (the highest Law institute in Nigeria). Prof Adewopo who is a fellow of the Max Plank Institute of Intellectual Property attended University of Maiduguri Nigeria and holds Masters Degrees from University of Lagos and Franklin Pierce Intellectual Property Center University of New Hampshire USA.
