Tinubu to foot the bill for repatriation of Nollywood actress, Moji's corpse to Lagos

Former governor of Lagos State and national leader of  the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accept to foot the bill for the repatriation of the remains of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya who died in Canada to Lagos.
The actress, who died  last week as a result of complication after childbirth, was to be buried in the North American country, but the family, particularly the deceased daughter, Adun, insisted that her mother should be brought back home for burial.
It was gathered that while the authorities in Canada were still awaiting the autopsy report on the cause of the amiable actress’s death, plans were on to bring her remains back to Nigeria for a befitting funeral.
While the family and friends sourced for money to cover the huge bills of flying the actress’ body home and also reunite her baby with the family, Asiwaju Tinubu was informed of their wish.
“We informed Asiwaju Tinubu on Sunday of the death of Moji Olaiya and today (Monday) he met with the daughter, Adun and two of Moji’s elder brothers at his Ikoyi home. The man agreed to foot the bill and immediately approved the money that will adequately cover the entire cost of the air-freight to bring Moji’s remains and also have her child reunite with the entire family in Lagos.” Foluke Daramola-Salako, actress and close friend of the deceased was reported as saying.
Nollytainment learnt  that Moji’s body was released to the family representative on Sunday and every arrangement has been put in place to fly her into Nigeria any moment from now. Moji died on Wednesday, May 17, in Canada.
