John Fashanu comes to town as 'Busted' premieres

Legendary footballer and TV personality, John Fashanu will take the centre stage this Sunday, as he hosts the private screening of the much talked about the same-sex-marriage movie, “Busted” at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The movie, which has turned the heat up on social media due to its subject matter,is produced by Lisa Onu and her sister, Face Onu. It's directed by Pat Oghre and Damijo Efe-Young.
The premiere is expected to attract a laundry list of talent, including much of the movie's cast, Liz Benson, I.K Ogbonna, Paul Obazele, Lisa Onu, Kate Henshaw, Bryan Okwara, Tony Umez, and Chika Okpara among others.
The film tells the story of Queen, who was brought up in a respectable home, but grew up to a different understanding of life and has taken to a new lifestyle.
In a recent chat with Face Onu, she said, since they shot the movie, they have been receiving a lot of backlash from people for daring to venture into the den of lions. According to her, the movie is not one that is out to promote lesbianism or gay. Rather, “The movie is sending a strong message to parents to pay attention to their wards.” Face said, in as much as they tried to be careful not to ignite negative responses, the story remains one that many movie producers avoid to explore in their movies.
